CleanUpYourHouse.com was started to help communities achieve the best look possible while, at the same time, assisting home owners in maximizing the overall value of their homes. Upon your approval, we will send an anonymous & polite letter or email to an address you provide us in order to help the occupants understand that their home might not look as nice as the others in the neighborhood. Now for the real reason... The honest to god's truth is I have become sick and tired of driving through the area I live in and seeing homes in such terrible condition. Here is Southern California the average home price is right around $ 600,000.00 as I type this information. I have a hard time believing that homes this expensive can be so neglected (on purpose). Old paint, bad paint, no landscaping, no driveways, cars parked in the front yard, half finished projects, dead grass, no grass, weeds, toys everywhere, goofy statues, broken fountains, garbage cans in the front yard, and dead plants are just a few of the features you can expect to see when driving around my town. A town where it is not uncommon to see home prices above one million dollars. I have come to realize that we all have a house or two on our block that, for whatever reason, the owners are just not interested in taking care of it. In other words, the house is ugly. Now I can understand and sympathize with people who might have a hardship or handicap as being a valid reason to have trouble keeping up with the neighborhood, and I am sure we all know people who fit into this category. THIS SITE WAS NOT MADE FOR THESE PEOPLE!! I am not interested in embarrassing those who do not have the means to do everything they might want to do to their home. This site is for the rest of the home owners who drive Navigators and BMW's but cannot take the time to plant a flower or move their junk into the back yard. I am almost positive that 99.9% of the population knows that peeling paint and no grass is unattractive, so why not fix it? How do you have friends over or sell your home when the neighbor has a bright blue house with pink flamingo statues gracing the front yard? I don't know either... As mentioned on the home page, for a small fee of $6.95, we will send an anonymous and polite letter (or e-mail) to your neighbor informing them that they have been listed on this site due to the fact that their home might need some extra attention (see sample letter here) .
